Both of us – Frank & Bianka Schmelzle – grew up with and in gastronomy.

Frank Schmelzle - from an early age in the "Sonneneck", at that time still in the hands of my parents as a café and guesthouse. After my training as a chef at the hotel "zur Mühle" in Hallwangen, further stations such as the restaurant "Krone" in Bempflingen were added. Already in 1999 I took over our Sonneneck. My parents continued to support me for many years.

My wife Bianka – rooted in the inn "zur Rose" in Dornstetten.

After her training as a hotel manager at the hotel "Grüner Wald" in Lauterbad, the journey to the Feldberg went to the "Feldberger Hof". Back home with first self-employment followed beautiful years in the "Rosenkeller" with bowling alleys in Dornstetten.

We have been pulling together here in the house since 2008. This was followed by our extension to a hotel in 2010, further training as a trainer as a cook and hotel manager, numerous renovations, classifications, the births of our sons Max and Jonas, and finally the expansion of our parking lot directly at the house.

Satisfied guests who like to come back are our greatest motivation. Whether after an overnight stay in the hotel, as a guest in the restaurant or at the numerous family celebrations. We are happy if we can give you a few nice hours in the "Sonneneck".
